The Brooklyn Lyceum Café is open every day.
Serving Intelligentsia coffee, exquisitely sourced and roasted, and fresh baked pastries right out of our trusty little oven, the café sits atop the busy Union Subway Station on 4th ave in Park Slope. Part of the Brooklyn Lyceum, a huge performance and community space, the café is housed in a historic building known formerly as NYC Public Bath No. 7. Originally opened in 1910 as an indoor bathing facility, it once housed the largest indoor public pool in the country. Reopened in 1994 as the Brooklyn Lyceum, the old bathhouse now plays host to a range of music, dance, theatre, special events, festivals and cultural activities, everything from avant garde to TV shoots, batting cages to outside-the-changes jazz. The café is also open for events, pulling a fine espresso for a night of jazz, serving Omahene chocolae in our iced mochas or cooling you down with a frozen lemonata.
Our large lounge has free wifi.
